Daily Lesson Plan:

1. Read a poem from Poetry 180. Write a paraphrase or response.

2. Read Today in History, On This Day or This Day in History. Write down one cool fact or event that happened today. Why is it cool (or not)?

3. Check the weather forcast for this week at www.almanac.com or www.farmersalmanac.com. What should we expect?

4. Go to Word of the Day or Dictionary.com. Write down today's word and use it in an original sentence.

5. Open the Oxford English Dictionary. Then locate and copy a definition, etymolgy and usage quotation for the next ten words from 100 Words Every High School Graduate Should Know.

6. When you're finished, check out the news from another city at The Newseum. Summarize one news story.

7. What happened Today in Literature?
